 The
much anticipated CPC-2420 is now available. This new tiny carrier
board comes with a SODIMM socket for carrying the CPC-2245/N Mini
Biscuit SBC and has standard I/O connectors such as VGA, LCD,
LAN, FDD, IDE, serial ports and a printer port. Combined with
the CPC-2245, the CPC-2420 offers system designers an all-in-one
486 based single board computer that delivers a more compact solution
and shrinks their system size. This mini biscuit unit is a super
small (80 mm x 120 mm), fanless, stable and flexible communication
interface. It is easy to install, easy to upgrade and easy to
maintain, perfect for applications such as Web automation devices,
small industrial controllers, panel PCs as well as a host of others.
A Powerful Combination
 The
numerous features of the CPC-2420/CPC-2245 unit provide an ideal
price/performance solution for high-end commercial and industrial
applications where stability and reliability are essential. It
comes equipped with 32 MB DRAM, a CompactFlash™ solid state
disk socket, a SVGA interface which supports a CRT monitor with
up to 4 MB display memory and a 10/100Base-T Ethernet interface.
In addition, it is equipped with two RS-232 serial ports, one
bi-directional printer port (which supports SPP, ECP, and EPP
modes), an IDE HDD interface as well as one ISA interface for
functional expansion. There is also a reserved 36-bit interface
to add a CPC-2520
VGA/LCD module. Users can choose various functions that more
closely fit their application needs.
