Advantech starts shipping the WEB-2143 Web Scout, the 2nd generation WebCon 2000 series web controller, this week. The WEB-2143 Web Scout inherits most features of the WEB-2040 with the additional advantage of three 10/100BaseT Ethernet ports that makes it an ideal solution for firewall deployment. The three Ethernet ports provide superior LAN access from router to server and a spare port to a non-critical DMZ database device.
