Advantech Launches 19" Transflective Marine Grade Monitor with Resistive Touchscreen

Taipei, Taiwan - March, 2009 – Advantech’s Industrial Automation Group has introduced a new transflective marine-grade monitor, the FPM-8192V. This monitor features a 19" SXGA TFT LCD with transflective display, dimming knob control from 0~100%, DNV certification and IEC-60945 & IACS-E10 approval, designed for marine industry applications. Constructed from marine-grade aluminum with a UV protected coating, FPM-8192V ensures reliability even in harsh outdoor conditions. FPM-8192V can also accept up to 4 common video inputs, including VGA, DVI, S-Video, and Video as well as three stage PiP (picture in picture) with floating and resizable windows. Advantech's marine display is the right choice for any marine application due to its ease of installation, outstanding viewing capabilities and unparalleled reliability.

Additionally, the FPM-8192V provides front OSD control with PiP, which is capable to check multi input information (such as one for navigation/ GPS and the other for wind, vibration or temperature) allowing multiple displays on a single monitor. The FPM-8192V provides dimming knob controls backlight brightness from nearly 0~100% and transflective technology to modify brightness easily for piloting during day and night time and to reduce accident happened while piloting.
