CeBIT
2000 has come to an end, but computer technology and business
opportunity has not. The most popular and prevailing theme this
year is still the synergy of computers and communication. The
e-Commerce application is another hot topic at the fairgrounds.
Advantech, at CeBIT 2000, extended a warm welcome to all customers
and visitors. In Hall 13, the Embedded Computing Group presented
its highly-integrated Pentium?II/III single board computers,
2.5" card size PCs, PC/104 modules and multifunctional Panel PCs
with different applications. In Hall 17, the Computer Telephony
Group displayed the newly-developed industrial-grade server PCs,
CompactPCIs, and Internet thin server systems.
Customers from different countries in Europe came and visited
our booths during the seven-day show, starting from February 24
to March 1. Some of them have been longtime partners of Advantech
and some even expressed the willingness to distribute our products
in their region. Most of the visitors were interested in the specifications,
functions and applications of these new products.
ECG
held its 2000 Pan-Europe Distributor Conference on February 26
at the Parkhotel Kronsberg in Hannover where we launched our new
products. Over 40 of our major partners and European colleagues
attended this event. As a member of the Intel?'s Applied Computing
Platform Provider (ACPP) program, we invited Mr. Offinger, Business
Development Manager from Intel?Europe, to introduce Intel?'s
platform solutions in the applied computing market.
During this meeting, six companies
were bestowed an award for their long-term support and excellent
performance in promoting Advantech products. We appreciate our
partner's efforts in the past and would like to continue prospering
with them in the future. The entire program came to a conclusion
after a delightful farewell dinner. We sincerely hope that all
the attendees will bring back with them not only plenty of product
information but also some good memories of this congregation.
