Advantech
Technologies, Inc. will organize a System On Module press conference
in conjunction with the Embedded System Conference Show/Boston,
Sept. 4-7, 2001.
Theme: System
On Module-The Fastest Way to Get Embedded Solutions to Market
Date: Sept. 5, 2001 (Wednesday)
Time: 11:30am-12:30pm (Lunch will be served)
Place: Press Conference Room on the 2nd level of Hynes Convention
Center
During the
press conference, Advantech will discuss our innovative System
On Module (SOM) solution which bridges the gap between conventional
off-the-shelf single board computers and custom-made computing
platforms for embedded applications. These customer solution boards
can be done with Advantech's 30-day DTOS (Design-to-order
Service) to bring your product to market fast.
SOM is a seriers
of CPU core engine with highly integrated features & PCI/ISA
expansion capabilities. These modules represent a common core
which can meet 80% of system requirements of most applications.
Since the most complicated CPU architecture circuity has already
been engineered in by SOM, customers can get 80% of their project
done easily just by choosing the best SOM that fits their needs,
which means savings of up to 80% of the time and cost of normal
projects.
The remaining
20% is to covered by the custom-made solution board. To help expedite
the customer solution board, Advantech provides (online) a 30
days DTOS service (Design To Order Service) that offers
many standard function blocks for customers to select from directly.
The browser-based service increases efficiency, streamlines communication
and overall, serve customer better.
